How to end stitching on a temari ball
Step 1
Lay the thread on the ball for the last part of the design. A triangle is shown here. Hold the thread in place with your thumb.
Step 2
Stick the point of the needle into the ball at the ending point. Come up 2 inches away in any direction. If you are using slippery thread or want an extra-secure ending, stitch 2 or 3 stitches back and forth underground and then go to step 3.
Step 3
Clip the thread close to the surface of the ball. If any of the stitching thread still shows, push it underground with the eye end of your needle.©2004 Kiku Designs
