Japanese Temari Newsletter
July 7, 2010
Happy summer! I hope you are finding plenty of relaxing stitching time over the summer. There is a lot of excitement in our little world of temari lately.
There is exciting news from the Japan Temari Association in Tokyo. Six new members who participated in my first correspondence course for certification by the association all passed the levels for which they applied! Congratulations to Laura Bezzeg (USA) - L1 and L2, Rosemary Bell (USA) - L1 and L2, Jane Compeau (USA) - L1 and L2, Michelle Papadakis (Greece) - L1 and L2, Rebecca Armstrong (Australia) - L1, Pam Stettnisch (USA) - L1. I am so proud of you! It was an honor and a very rewarding experience for me to help you along the way.
And a true surprise from the JTA, their latest book contains the temari that Debi, Kathy, and I submitted for our Level 3 judging last year.
Due to other commitments, I will not be accepting new students for the JTA Certification class next year. However, I have had requests for more online classes and can do an encore of any of the classes that I have run before. Are you interested? Please visit my website and fill in the short form to help me plan the next online class. Thanks!
Last thing - I have updated my gallery a bit so my favorite temari are in a slideshow. Enjoy!
Happy stitching,
Barb Suess
