Guide to temari books in Japanese

Do you collect books? I have updated my list of books and put a copy of all the reviews on my website. There is a pdf that you can download and print. I have to say it was more fun than cleaning out my closets and I found lots of inspiring temari to keep me busy stitching for a long time!

Book sale on ebay

Thanks so much to everyone who bid on Rebecca Shortens listing of temari books on ebay last week. Bidding was lively and she sold all books listed to help pay for her tuition. Thank you!

Japanese Temari Class Online
Sunflowers with the Shining Needle Society

Four weeks of lessons beginning March 15.  Sign up is open now and will close on February 28.  The Yahoo discussion group will remain open for about 3 months or until everyone's questions are answered.

After receiving many requests for this class over the years, I have finally put it at the top of the list. I love sunflowers! And I love the yellows, golds, and greens of Anchor pearl cotton thread. Sally at Rainbow Gallery found a wonderful metallic thread color to match perfectly - Autumn Orange. We'll use their finer Treasure Braid Petite to mark these three temari and Treasure Braid 12-strand for stitching around some of the shapes to add a pop to these three lively designs. I hope you can join me.

Happy stitching!

Barb Suess
