Sewing with friends - Professional Tote by Creative Thimble
10-25-07 - I had such a fun day earlier this week sewing with Lily, Diane, and Laura. Laura designs and writes patterns for bags of all sorts. She's the original bag lady! My travels with the new book have taken me to libraries, book stores and various shops in the area and I really need this bag! Of course, I had to make one with temari balls as the theme.
That's a temari fabric with gold highlights by Michael Miller. The two coordinating prints are orientals, also with gold highlights. Ultrasuede covers the bottom of the bag and the gathered pockets on each side have rattail pull strings held in place with cord locks. The inside has a bright yellow oriental print fabric with pockets galore. The tote is big enough to slip a laptop inside (if I had one!).
Lily said "this is so addicting." Uh, oh - looks like another one!
This side has a long pocket that extends all the way across. It closes with a magnetic snap.
