Japanese holidays, favorite creatures like the rabbit and crane, Christmas, and a page of 12 balls representing the Chinese zokiak are some of the temari pictured. Instructions are presented with photographs and include marking, wrapped bands (the first ball that Sensei Ozaki teaches in her classes), merry-go-round , triwing, and chrysanthemum.
