March - Queen Anne's Lace Pumped!
French knot workout!. I decided to create some Queen Anne's Lace on a combination 8 division temari. There are 8 flowers, one at each of the 6-way intersections on the temari. First I used a velveteen ribbon from an Adornments package to create the frame for the flowers. The ball is marked (and I added extra marking lines for the flowers) with YLI Candlelight Metallic Yarn (white). The French knots have 2 wraps around the needle. When I made one wrap, the knot sank into the threadwrap of the temari. Knots are stitched with assorted silks that I had in my stash - white, varigated green - lavender, and green. This one really shines! I'll have to take a picture in the sun to see if I can catch that shine.
