...How to make temari balls...

Learning this Japanese craft is just like learning any other skill.  It takes practice.  The first few temari balls that you make may not be exactly round and they may not be marked perfectly but that's OK!  Japanese temari is a folk art - perfection is not expected!  So keep going with your beginner temari balls - stitch some sparkling starbursts to fill in the empty areas to draw the eye away from any imperfections in your stitching.
