Detailed instructions are given from start to finish, including making and marking a ball in a combination 10-division, stitching interlocked pentagons, interlocked 5-petal kiku herringbone designs, 5-point star, spiderweb backstitching, and straight stitching.  Glossary of terms in English and Japanese is a discussion topic for the last week of class.

Grandmother Stars

$79.50 - full kit with mailing to US, membership in Yahoo group classroom with 5 weeks of instructions, Shining Needle Society membership and support

This class is designed for temari stitchers who already know how to mark a C10 division and want to begin exploring multicentered divisions. Detailed instructions are given from start to finish, including making and marking a ball (from a simple division to C10 to 32 centers), along with many tips on techniques.  Instructions are given for stitching a pentagon and hexagon, 5-petal and 6-petal kiku designs, stitching a triangle through keeper pins and the more advanced technique of continuous line stitching. Glossary of terms in English and Japanese is a discussion topic for the last week of class.
