Blue Stars Japanese temari class
Learn how to turn a simple 10 division into a combination 10 division.

The class fee includes four week online class, pattern copy to download (you print it), full support of teacher and fellow students in a Yahoo group, video tutorials of the C10 division, slideshow tutorials of all steps, full kit, and shipping to you in the US.
Detailed instructions for this temari are given from start to finish including making and marking a ball in a combination 10 division (watch a video of Barb making the division using three different methods). Instructions are given for stitching interlocked pentagons, interlocked 5-petal kiku herringbone designs, 5-point star, spiderweb backstitching, and straight stitching. Extra patterns similar to Blue Stars are given each week so you can practice the new techniques on other temari. Glossary of terms in English and Japanese is a discussion topic for the last week of class. The Yahoo group will remain open several months so you'll have plenty of time to stitch Blue Stars.

Skill level:
This is an intermediate class. Before signing up for this class, you should be able to wrap a round ball and know how to accurately mark a simple 10 division. You should also have plenty of experience with stitching a 5-point star and a kiku herringbone on simple division temari. (See Japanese Temari, A Colorful Spin on an Ancient Craft.) To be successful in this class, you'll need to have lots of experience! If you aren't sure if you are up for it or not, please email me and we can talk about it. I always want success for you!
